Seniors
Guided by the belief that everyone has the right to a dignified life even when they enter the third age, the Center for Support and Inclusion Help Net has a special program that deals with the oldest citizens and their needs. In this sense, Help Net is also a licensed provider of social protection services for the elderly and persons with disabilities by the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veterans, and Social Affairs, through which assistance is provided to our elderly fellow citizens.
The goal of the program for seniors is for our elderly fellow citizens to live with us, to be an active part of the local community, to maintain good relations with family and friends, and to be healthier and happier. Through conversation, help, cooperation, and support, we promote the idea that old age is a period in which you can acquire new knowledge, study, travel, and socialize, and that active participation in social life should be maintained even in old age.
Help Net aims to direct every activity to the benefit of the local community and the professional public, which is why, in addition to members of the Help Net team and numerous collaborators, program users themselves are also involved in the implementation of activities. All with the idea that our network helps, supports, and facilitates the daily life of our users, with a full understanding of their needs and habits.
Third-age citizens are persons who are part of our society and who, due to their age, face specific challenges and topics that need to be approached in the right way. Help Net strives to offer solutions to the challenges that our senior citizens live with. The idea is to work with older fellow citizens to learn from them, as well as to include them in all spheres of social life.
That is why we believe that work on topics such as improving the position of informal caregivers and the quality of care, protecting senior citizens from violence, social inclusion of the elderly, and help in the home for the elderly and others is key to a good and happy life for seniors. These are also just some of the topics that the Help Net team has paid attention to in recent years. By learning from current seniors, we create programs that will serve future generations as well.
Ultimately, Help Net wants our senior citizens to live with us, to be an active part of the local community, to maintain good relationships with family and friends, and to be healthier and happier.
