Two workshops were held „The bridge intergenerational solidarity“and „How am I today in compare to yesterday?”

Center for support and inclusion Help net in cooperation with Red Cross Serbia conducts the project “Strengthening resilience of elderly and people with disabilities during COVID-19 and future disasters”, with financial support of European union. Within the project there were held workshops on the topics intergenerational communications between different generations – elderly and youth, as well as the post-covid period and consequences which have impact to mental health of elderly and youth.

The conclusions of the workshops are that the youth and the elderly established a “bridge” of communication with a high-quality exchange of experiences in overcoming difficulties and fears caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, as well as mechanisms for overcoming the challenges they encountered. It is significant that both generations showed empathy towards each other.

The goal of the project is to connect and improve communication between different generations, preserve mental health and reduce the feeling of loneliness after the post-covid period through the exhibition as a final product that promotes intergenerational solidarity in times of crisis.
