IMPROVING THE STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM VIOLENCE
In 2017, the development of a new strategic framework for the systemic protection of children from violence began in Serbia. “Help net”, in cooperation with the UNICEF office in Serbia and the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, coordinated the adoption of a new Strategy for the Protection of Children from Violence, which comprehensively united experts, civil society organizations and decision makers. The novelty is that in the process of adopting this relevant document, children were directly involved in cooperation with the association “Friends of Children of Serbia”, which led the participatory component of the project.
Since the Government of the Republic of Serbia, after the implementation of the project, at the beginning of 2019 started general harmonization of all strategies with the needs of joining the European Union, all strategies, including this one, are subject to a new round of harmonization with EU policies. this process is not completed.
