The project entitled “Development of an educational program on the affirmation of gender roles through digital content” plans to improve the level of knowledge about gender roles and socially acceptable patterns of behaviour in high school children, as well as to contribute to breaking gender stereotypes and prejudices based on traditional gender norms. By providing information with a scientific thread on this topic in an affirmative and adapted way to high school students, an environment is created in which gender equality is promoted in various spheres of social life, and on the other hand, work is done on prevention and elimination of discrimination among adolescents. In the period of adolescence, ie in high school age, there is a more intensive re-examination of one’s own identity, and thus gender roles as one of the dimensions of identity, and relationships with others gain special significance. Through a certain educational program, young people will be provided with information that will help them gain a broader picture of this topic, beyond the traditional beliefs that are still present to some extent, and ultimately, all this will contribute to creating a tolerant, equal society.
Therefore, the main goal of this project is to contribute to the content and quality of educational work for pre – university education students by creating an educational program on gender roles and socially acceptable patterns of behaviour.
Specific goal: Creating an educational program with a specific topic of gender roles, with a detailed explanation of the concepts and application of the educational program with a combination of traditional teaching methods and online interactive digital form, which will affirmatively, interactively and fun way to improve understanding of this topic among young people pre-university education.
