Workshop ‘How to make a short film with smartphone’

The center for support and inclusion Help net in cooperation with the Serbian Red Cross, with the support of the Višegrad fond is conducting a project »Strengtening intergenerational solidarity«which has the goal of promoting cooperation, understanding and cohabitation of generations. The project is internation in charachter, its conducted in partnership with the European groupation for teritorial cooperation TRITIA from Poland, Centre for Social Services Horelica from Slovakia along with the Trianon organization i from the Czech Republic.

In the plethora of activities within the project of the Serbian Red Cross in Belgrade a workshop for the young and elderly was held with the title * How to make a short film with a smartphone.

The young and the elderly had the opportunity to mutualy research the wide spectre of creative and artistic possibilities provided by a digital world, in other words the possibilities for creative expression. Not only were the different generations brought closer with this workshop, but their artistic side was promoted and their digital competence was improved. The same topic workshops with be held in the partner states , Poland (Cieszyn), Slovakia (Čadca) and the Czech Republic (Česky Těšín).

After the workshops, the participants will be split into mixed groups with the task to make their own short film. The best materials will be used in the production of the short film and promotion trailers for the raising of awareness on the importance of intergenerational solidarity and breaking the prejudice on the elderly/young.

The strengtening of intergenerational solidarity is achieved by working on the change of relatioships amongst the generations, searching for new ways of knowldge exchange, skills and experiences alongside shared responsibility. This project provides that opportunity to reach its target groups, young and old. The project brings generations closer with the use of the creative potential of new media and the film arts. With the realization of the projects, activities in the four countries valuable regional experiences will be collected on the use of this mechanism in the improvement on intergenerational relationships.

The short film, along with the results of the project will be presented to the scientific and wider audience in May 2021. . The film and promotion trailers will be used In the sense of a comprehensive media campaign towards the promotion of intergenerational dialogue and promotion of the project and their results in Serbia and the Višegrad group countries.
