Completed Project: “Raising competences of hard-to-employ women” 30 Participants Receive Certificates for Work in Social Welfare

The project titled Raising competences of hard-to-employ women has been successfully completed, with implementation supported by the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation and financially backed by the Government of Slovakia. Over the course of six months, the project aimed to create employment opportunities for women from hard-to-employ groups by developing their professional skills and capacities to provide home care services for the elderly and persons with disabilities.

As part of the project, two four-day training sessions were organized – the first from April 7 to 10, 2025, in the municipality of Čukarica, and the second from April 14 to 17, 2025, in the municipality of Palilula. A total of 30 women aged 20 to 55, residing in the mentioned municipalities and with completed primary or secondary education, attended the trainings. Through the program, participants acquired specific knowledge and skills necessary for delivering home care services – a field in which there is a growing demand for trained and qualified personnel.

All participants successfully completed the training and became eligible to receive official certificates issued by the Republic Institute for Social Protection. These certificates not only validate their professional qualifications but also represent a significant step toward enhancing their competitiveness in the labor market, opening up opportunities for employment and long-term economic empowerment.

The project demonstrated that with targeted support and a quality educational program, women who have previously faced employment challenges can successfully develop their capacities and become valuable contributors to the social welfare system.
