Caritas Šabac, the Help Net Support and Inclusion Center, and the Tuzla Center for Social Innovation organized a final conference on June 25, 2024, as part of the project “Improwing the Competencies of Informal Caregivers and Professionals in the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina,“, a which is financially supported by the European Union under the IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program Serbia-Bosnia and Herzegovina 2014-2020 (Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance IPA II).
The project’s goal is to contribute to the development of new sustainable non-institutional social and health services and/or improve existing services for informal caregivers and professionals in the social and health care system in the Tuzla Canton (BiH) and the Mačva District (RS) through cross-border exchange, cooperation, and synergy, thereby increasing the quality and efficiency of care services for the elderly and other individuals in need of care.
The aim of the conference is to promote the topic of informal care and present the results achieved through the project’s implementation, through comparative analysis and highlighting the needs of informal caregivers, as well as systemic, project-based, and informal responses to existing challenges in the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
