Research aimed at examining the perception of adolescent boys in relation to gender roles and socially acceptable (responsible for themselves and the community) patterns of behavior, and accordingly make recommendations and conclusions that are the basis for future work with adolescents in the direction of their empowerment.
In addition, the goal is to gain insight into gender beliefs of high school boys, but also the experience of gender discrimination they faced during growing up and during high school. If we know what expectations boys have of themselves, their peers, we will have the opportunity to more purposefully design and direct actions towards this group that aim to promote gender equality in various spheres of life. If we know to what extent and to what types of gender discrimination boys were exposed, we will be able to more successfully interpret their beliefs, but also to influence the breaking of the vicious circle of reproduction of gender inequalities in society.
