The center for Support and Inclusion Help Net is realizing an activity under the name “Linking local level existing strategies in the relevant areas’’. This activity is conducted in the scope of a common program of the EU and the Council of Europe “Horizontal facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022” and the project under the name “Promotion of differences and equality in Serbia”. The activity was realized in the period between April 1st up until April 30th, 2021.
The goal of the activity is to develop a social protection strategy on the territory of Irig, alongside the follow up action plan for the implementation of the strategy. The project team will draft up a strategic document, together with representatives from Irig’s institutions, during a consultation process. In this way, the participation process In strategic planning is respected in full.
The Strategy for the Development of Social Protection and the Action Plan will define measures and activities whose implementation would contribute to improving the position and quality of life of Irig citizens, especially vulnerable groups such as Roma, people with disabilities, victims of violence, and citizens at risk of poverty etc. The intention is to plan the development of social protection services and programs that would be accessible and accessible to priority target groups.
Ultimately, this activity contributes to the general improvement to the citizens of Irig, development of an open and equal society.

The Strategy for the Development of Social Protection for the Municipality of Irig is finished
At the end of September, the Strategy for the Development of Social Protection for the Municipality of Irig was completed, with an accompanying Action Plan, The strategy was developed for the period from 2022 to 2027. The project team successfully cooperated with the actors in this unit of local self-government in planning activities, and intersectoral cooperation will continue in the implementation of all planned measures and activities.
This is an important step towards improving the quality of life of citizens in the municipality of Irig.
