On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, an introductory conference for the project titled “Enhancing the Competencies of Informal Caregivers and Professionals in the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina”<\/em><\/strong> was held at the Dramar Center in Tuzla. The project is being implemented in partnership by three organizations: the Center for Social Innovatio<\/a><\/span> from Tuzla (which also hosted the conference, Center for Support and Inclusion Help Net<\/a><\/span> from Belgrade and Caritas \u0160abac<\/a><\/span> with financial support from the European Commission under the IPA program for cross-border cooperation between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina for the years 2014-2020 <\/a><\/span> (Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance IPA II). <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The aim of the conference is to analyze the problems and challenges faced by informal caregivers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia, focusing on project locations and exploring opportunities to improve their position within the social and health care system.<\/p>\n

The conference was attended by representatives from the Tuzla Canton Ministry, representatives from institutions and organizations in the field of social and health care from the Tuzla Canton area, the Ma\u010dva District, as well as media, students, and students from Belgrade. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Thank you very much to our partners, the Center for Social Innovation and Caritas \u0160abac, for the successful organization of the event and for sharing their vast experience and knowledge in the fields of social protection, inclusion, elderly care, and of course, the direct organizational and academic understanding of the role and perspectives of informal caregivers. The participants were addressed by Prof. Dr. Asim Pand\u017ei\u0107, Prof. Dr. Erna Lu\u010di\u0107, as well as MA experts Nedim Osmanovi\u0107, Miroljub Nikoli\u0107, Vladimir Jovanovi\u0107, and Radmila Avramovi\u0107. <\/p>\n

Notably, the Assistant Minister from the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy, and Return of the Tuzla Canton, Mr. Edin \u0160estan, also delivered a significant presentation, sharing an institutional perspective from the viewpoint of the public sector.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
